She only said that they are a very old breed, and don't bark like wolves and foxes. Gsd were developed in the 1800's. Shiba 300bc. Great pyrenees 1800-1000bc. The lines are relatively new in a gsd, but that doesn't mean that it shares less genetics with wolves, just that humans have fooled with it in more recent history.
