A downvote subconsciously trains people to fall into the same mode of thinking, which leads to hivemind gayness. One thing I like about poal is being able to go against the Approved Opinons™ without being dogpiled on by NPCs. I've always thought the voting system was clunky and needed improvement but these sites are always basement projects run by a couple dudes in their free time so I guess nobody has had the time to come up with anything better. If a user's score is a reflection of their content contribution, why are others allowed to "rewrite history" by downvoting, reducing the total score, because they're in a bad mood? Kind of dumb. But this is an argument in favor of limiting downvotes so maybe you won't agree
