Having been there a fair few times already. Thailand.
You can do the resort by the beach thing, hire a few motorbikes and travel around. Take a tour around some islands and shit. I couldn't do snorkeling or diving because to was the only one the could swim, but they have it. Depending on where you go there's also great nightlife if you want that thing. North for more inland stuff, bikes, elephants, cheaper. South the beach stuff. I'd recommend Krabi for something relaxing but not boring.
3k for three people will let you live like kings if you're only there for a week. You'd be surprised.
Best of all, no niggers. Thai people are very nice (and not just fake nice for the cash), and if there's any trouble, it's usually the tourists that cause it. Indians can be a bit rude though.
The only trouble we had with police was one time we went through a traffic stop on a bike, and my wife refused to wear her helmet (it will mess up my hair). She had to walk to the nearest police office, wait in line, and pay 10 bucks. Took a little over half an hour.
Never even thought of it I’ll give it a look thanks
The 23hour flight is a hard sell
Eh, I think it's worth it.
Are the economy seats tolerable for that long?
