I’ve met so many of these fucking boomers that go to shrinks. My dad has been going for like 15 years. He couldn’t be happier, yet he seems just as selfish, degenerate, and outright immoral as he was when he broke up our family and shamed our name. He has no self reflection and has made no real attempt to make things right between him and I.

What the hell are these boomers told by psychiatrists???

I can’t escape my certainty that my father’s shrink just tells him ‘it’s not your fault’ and ‘put the past behind you’ over and over. I can just see my fucking maximum boomer trope pedo, drunk, philandering millionaire father sitting there like ‘you’re right! I always knew I was right. It’s not my fault.’

I just had a boomer walk into my store who’s been by a bunch of times. Each and every time that we’ve ever gotten into an extended conversation he’s told me “do not have kids” as if that’s his number one purpose in life to tell everyone that having kids will fuck up your Me Me time. Today in passing he mentioned something about this therapist and the last time he brought up kids I remember him celebrating his son moving out in such a disgusting manner, as if to say ‘thank the lord I don’t have to pretend to give a fuck about my son anymore’

Psychiatry seems like a conspiracy to keep boomers from taking accountability.

I was listening to a Christian radio station and they were doing some "back to school" marketing thing, celebrating how kids are "finally getting out of the house and going back!" It was disgusting. And yeah psychiatry is jewed. It has to be. They can't give religious advice so they default to general humanist "do what feels good" garbage which was created by, yep you guessed it

I hate the celebrating kids going back to school thingbbut it seems even worse for a Christian station to be acting that way. My family could not understand why I was having such a hard time sending my oldest to Kindergarden when I did, this yr my second would be going into K and I can't imagine sending her- so thankful for homeschooling.

It absolutely has no place on a Christian station. I couldn't believe it. It's such an exciting time to be a parent right now. You get to teach them stuff nobody else will. One of mine recently saw black people and realized "they're different from us." I said, yep you got it. Didn't say anything else about it. Kids know. Moments like that make parenting really fun. At least it does for me. I can't imagine celebrating handing them over to brainwashing camp

Whatever. I LOVE sending my kids back to school. My daughter starts in two weeks, countdown is on. People who are being self righteous about this shit have NO IDEA. It sounds as out of touch as when people without children lecture parents on how they shouldn't discipline kids because it might hurt their self esteem.

There’s nothing wrong with being relieved to have some time away from your kids.

The point was every encounter with me , save one time, the boomer said in such a disgusting way ‘don’t have kids’ to me as if he’d dump his kids off tomorrow if he didn’t have to face social shaming or legal recourse. So his celebration of his son leaving the house has more context. It wasn’t a ‘I’m glad to see my son grow up and take on the world’ thing. It was a ‘thank god I don’t have to think about this mistake of having kids anymore because I won’t have to see him’ type of thing.

Clearly I do have an idea because I have kids. And I'm confident that 99% of people who are just "so exhausted" are moms. Because raising children is the one thing that isn't handed to them so it's just soooooo hard

Well being a mom is hard and exhausting but it's a great job to have as long as you look at it as it's a great job to have.

I have an idea I have three. was it nice to have that break when I sent my oldest to K? , in some ways it was. But Getting her up for school was painful for everyone. When I picked her up she was a nightmare from being tired and holding it in all day. Then there was the homework and the fact that she barely learned anything so it was a big waste of time really.
I would much rather her be home with me and teach her and know ahe is actully learning. Homeschooling isn't easy but I'm so greatful I have that option bc as much as they can drive me nuts I don't want them to be gone from me all day either.
