The people here are just nicer. I come from a city that is supposed to be known for being friendly. But it isn't. I've been here for days and most people say hello or excuse me or thank you. Basic stuff. I haven't been out on the town once with some fucking nigger or white trash loudly swearing or being otherwise belligerent.

The driving isn't perfect but there are less people just veering across multiple lanes because they weren't paying attention and would have missed their turn if they hadn't of risked everyone around them.

Everything is more orderly. But slower. The waiters are slower. Cashiers are slower. Even the traffic lights seem to switch from red to green just a fraction of a second slower. I have always noticed this about the south and I used to think it was a bad thing. Now I'm not so sure. While it may not be a positive aspect of southern life is sure as hell doesn't add the same weight as the negatives of blue states.
