Beginning: happy smiling family, mom constantly keeping kids clean, holds door open for others at every stop, buys merchandise to use the bathroom when a sign says so, chats up the cashier, buys a lottery ticket, asks strangers about their destinations, sings songs and plays road trip games

On the way home: overtired annoyed family, parents have been completely defeated by children, everyone is covered in food stains, mom has no more fucks to give, no more games everyone just shut up, here watch twelve hours of YouTube, glares at the men who give her dirty looks when she takes her toddlers to pee in the men's room because the women's line is too damn long, "oh you want me to buy something to piss here?" - as they walk out the door knocking over the newspaper stand ganster style and throw a lit match on the ground before peeling out of the parking lot.

Yeah, I've had the same problem. Besides though, I just like driving.

I do enjoy driving but it depends somewhat on what I am driving, minivan is not in the like driving category but they have insane amounts of utility.

Yup, back in my long distant drive days it was either a station wagon, SUV, or big four door. Not exactly sports cars.

See I had a big four door, my 2000 bmw 328i I bought it for 3000 dollars, best car I ever had. Handled like a dream had balls got decent gas mileage and big enough for the whole family.
