For example, the political right is routinely attacked by the media and political system at large in the US today. As such, the right often has little in the ways of public support, allowing for the quick and easy promelgation of false information about their ideology. This causes many on the right to be quick to jump on board when a politican or other prominant figure parrots their own rhetoric.

I get the impulsion, I've fallen prey to this myself. But, it allows you to be manipulated.

I find it's important to give it time when you believe someone is on your side. See if they hold fast to their supposed principles or not.

Very true. Time after time we see people who don't seriously care about what the right cares about, e.g. Turning Point USA and the Intellectual Dark Web.

I have done it but I'm starting to be able to tell and the good ones I back without question like lou dobbs , gowdy, chavez, jim jordon, etc. They are all steadfast and almost never waver unless they know they are wrong and are quick to correct and apologize for the mistake. Integrity is hard to find in congress or almost anywhere nowadays. It's usually about the money nowadays and fuck everything else.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures.
