I’m not sure if you know how most of these platforms work. Most of them would like to turn a profit. I’ve been told by different people from day 1 if you have real free speech it’ll never be financially successful, so I just accept that it won’t be. So I’m not doing this for money so the only other reason for me to do this would be that I actually believe in free speech. That being said why would I get all ban happy?
People on Voat have claimed you banned them. I'm just checking that out. So far it seems to be FUD.
I absolutely understand internet commerce. This is what led me down the path to where I'm at now. That guy who posts as PuttItOut suddenly, out of the blue, has an "angel investor" who has to remain anonymous, come in and save Voat. All the while talking about non-ad based revenue streams and how because of Voats users, ads are not a viable option.
This is redflag territory. I bet your server costs are <$100 monthly. I can't comment on your time that you put in here but you seem very active.You're the site owner Voat needs.
Just don't be surprised if Voat "glitches" one too many times and you're suddenly overun with Qtards.
