Still bugs me that he refuses to pull out a bible
I can't figure out why he doesn't. It's the one thing about him that drives me insane. How can you claim to have all these Christian revelations in your life and NEVER point to the bible? Wouldn't you want to know that all your esoteric ramblings have at least some kind of biblical basis? Does he even read it? The bible agrees with like 99% of the stuff he says, just POINT TO A VERSE.
It's like if he was teaching somebody how to fix a car without ever referring to the manual, made up all the technical specifications and numbers, and just happened to be right every time. Like, "Hmm you probably need a 7/16 wrench for this part. Oh look I was right. Cool."
I might go buy stamps just to send him a letter and ask what the deal is. It bothers me that much. Sorry for the rant.
I don’t think he has a very good excuse considering he has a Youtube stream where he talks about Christianity so much ....
Never the less I’ll offer him the excuse that he just recently figured out he’s Christian. And once you realize this, a lot of that wisdom does indeed reveal itself naturally. If you know about Jesus’s life you can extrapolate responsibly from it. I’m sure he’ll get around to it
If a year goes by from this moment and he still isn’t citing scripture or reading from the Bible, I’d say that is significantly weird and questionable.
Until then I’m giving him time to grow as a Christian just as I’d hope a Christian would do the same for me.
I’ve never read the Bible. I’m getting ready to read KJV front to back. Very excited about it.
