They also hide their own purpose which is to destroy the family. They hide behind women like cowards. Point out that they themselves are intolerant or academically bankrupt and all I end up hearing back are arguments about how I'm awful for hating women.

i heard through the grapvine that moderators can confront users who down vote in their subs, as is the example of sending messages to both and asking to either remove their downvotes or debate why 's posts are spam.

Then i remembered my old sticky https://poal.co/s/Feminism/53075 and how i removed the stick after a single down vote. then i saw a second right next to it. https://poal.co/s/Feminism/53074

Both were from , so i sent him a message similar to what starjello send the other two. He did not respond within a day, so i banned him.

The down votes also remain atm. So, so long as this culture of

Down votes are only for spam

exists, i consider all down votes as spam reports. Casting this vote for clearly not spam is a false report. Either the users remove the down votes, or i don't want them in my sub.

This actually logically makes sense. But banning someone for a downvote... seems wrong. Especially since they're your own posts. Probably a discussion worth having. Would make a post about it if Poal weren't already racked with existential doubt from these past few days.

It might be a productive discussion. my understanding of this site is

upvote, good content for the sub

no vote, not interested or don't like

down vote, spam.

from his above comments, he clearly does not like foamy, which should indicate a "no vote" responce. Yet his response was "down vote". If debates this above 3 definitions of how up, down and no votes are defined, i think all the users of this site should also be included in this discussion.

Normally I would ping admins and try to get a discussion going, but i think they're tired.

While I was admittedly annoying, I never banned anyone. I'm just saying for clarity.

True, but we don't know what you would have done if they refused to remove those votes, or just never responded, like x0x7 did. I think this might be new philosophical territory for this site.

I've messaged a bunch of people. There were refusals and I let it go. If you look, WaWhite and probably a few others still have downvotes on Hans posts in the sub. Unless they were truly malicious and it was part of an attempt to ruin the sub, I have no reason to consider a ban. I never thought of it for a moment. I was also open about messaging users who downvoted as I put it in a I made earlier. I apologize to you for bothering your friends, but I was ( in my perspective) non-malicious and for some, like@Hephestus, even apologetic for being a bother.

Very true. If downvotes are for spam then we do need to discuss how to go about contesting downvotes and creating some standard for what is spam (and who gets to set the standard).
