Yeah belt driven tail rotors help quite a lot as well.

There is a gear ratio and it is far more reliable than a speed controller on a motor for the tail rotor.

That way all you need to control is the pitch of the blades. Same with main rotor and the swachplate construction.

My first 6ch was made of plastic and it was shitty as shit. Aluminum is the way to go seeing as it can handle much more stresses.

Those turbine ones are not acrobatic in the sense of 3D flight.

I don't think you could even control the angle of the blades on the RC one I had, It wasn't a super cheapo one but I don't think that was an option.
