I honestly don't expect anyone to help me these days, and many times that saves me from being pissed off when nobody helps. Hell, there are times I have offered to help people just to be turned away. Best example was a young lady trapped in the snow. I was driving by, pulled over to help push her car out. She took every effort to ignore my obvious rapist self and stay locked up in her car while staring at her phone waiting for the obvious tow. These are weird fucking times.
What a cunt. I usually only help elderly people in those situations for that exact reason.
I live in NH and have been digging and pushing cars out of snowbanks for decades. I feel good for doing it and they have a much better day getting to work hopefully on time and knowing people will help them just because. Doing a good deed a day even a tiny one like letting someone that seems in a hurry with one item ahead of you in line at the store. Holding an elevator door, holding a non auto door for someone with a cane or using crutches. These things are all things everyone should try to do daily.
