One of the more unfortunate features of Voat (at least in my opinion) is the large number of numbskulls that go around calling each other Jews. This is endemic even when users, like myself, make clear we're not Jews. I got a taste of this on Poal earlier:

Racism is a smokescreen for Voat.

The people that migrated from reddit to Voat got so sick of everybody calling them a racist that the community opted to use racism as a smokescreen to protect itself. Then Voat gave registered users the ability to filter out content they don't want to see.

The result is a front page full of racial slurs that discourages the uber-libtards from continuing a pattern of online harassment, but once you filter that out you see a totally different community.
