One of the more unfortunate features of Voat (at least in my opinion) is the large number of numbskulls that go around calling each other Jews. This is endemic even when users, like myself, make clear we're not Jews. I got a taste of this on Poal earlier:

Not so easy to ignore. Jew obsessives are relentless in my experience. But there is a broader issue of it having a seriously depressing effect on the quality of discourse.

I'm not a Jew. That equals end of discussion for normal people.

But a lot of people in these circles are definitely not normal. Still unclear how many are present on this site though.

Racism is a smokescreen for Voat.

The people that migrated from reddit to Voat got so sick of everybody calling them a racist that the community opted to use racism as a smokescreen to protect itself. Then Voat gave registered users the ability to filter out content they don't want to see.

The result is a front page full of racial slurs that discourages the uber-libtards from continuing a pattern of online harassment, but once you filter that out you see a totally different community.

Anti-anti-Semitism implies less an affinity for Jews than a hostility to the stupidity of anti-Semites.

In any case it is demonstrably false to say 'all' I do on Voat is defend Jews. I do a good bit of it though. That site is thoroughly obsessed with Jews and having a discussion not involving Jews in some way is arguably more difficult to accomplish than even on Stormfront.

Because why do meaningful things when you can play in-group/out-group status games? It's just the far/alt right's version of virtue signalling - "nasty pale cis male" becomes "hook-nosed shekelseeker" and the crowd proceeds to hoot and holler and lift the brave soul daring to speak out against Those People We Don't Like up onto their shoulders for all to see.

The simple fact is that the cultures and peoples of the west are under attack - an attack driven primarily by corporate marketeers and would-be social renovators united in their aim to produce the perfect consumerist society, and supported by a massively indoctrinated populace who believe they can express themselves as people through the products that they purchase.

This behaviour should be equally hated whether or not it comes from a kike or a cracker, a chink or a nigger. Conversely, we also need to realise that a lot of people - everywhere - will simply be taking advantage of the situation for their own benefit. Those people aren't so much a problem, as a symptom of the problem.

If we could go back to a time and place where honour meant something, where honesty and virtue and good character was valued over product purchases and superficially well-meaning statements, then there simply wouldn't be money in so much of this shit we're currently being plagued with. If the shekels dry up, the shekelseekers will go elsewhere. As societies, as people, we must simply stop paying the danegeld.

Fix the culture, and most other things will fall into place.
