Just for the record it is my understanding Putt had some assistance in reviewing data in determining 'manipulation'. I'd be very curious to know who these Voat users are. Given Voat's demographics there is a very good chance they are anti-Semites. Anyone familiar with my post history can probably imagine what I mean here.

Probably impossible to prove anything - least of all motives. But I did nothing wrong. At least as far as I am concerned - and based on my understanding of the rules. But I do find it very believable that some of the nutzi element would try to use what influence they could acquire to have me banned.

There was at least one other hardcore Jew hater that was also banned. Doesn't really tell us much though. This is all speculative but he could have ended up on someone's shitlist for another reason. If Nazis were processing my ban though that is an obvious conflict of interest.

I don't think Putt is an anti-Semite though. Or at least I haven't seen him make anti-Semitic comments - or really political comments at all other than a generic devotion to free speech. The guy seems into computers and golf. I don't think you read what I said elsewhere on this thread. I think it possible he had Jew haters (that they are Jew haters may even be unknown to him) helping him process these bans. In my case that is a massive red flag.

I don't understand why. I've been generous with upvotes to lots of people on Occidental Enclave and other places on Voat as well but I don't see that as manipulation.

It is very possible Putt thinks you are my alt. I notice on the ban log I am apparently banned for upvoting myself. Total bullshit but 'makes sense' if 'myself' is you as my alt upvoting me.

The no prior warning though makes this especially outrageous. The guy apparently doesn't know what he's doing.

He might think that. But a simple IP-check would reveal that we post from different sides of the globe.

Anyway, it's the first time that I've ever been banned from any forum. I guess it's useful to get new experiences.

He said in a post earlier that in doing all this he isn't checking IPs. I have almost no background in computer science and even I checked IPs. I mentioned in the PM response to the ban notification that it is not difficult to do such and divest himself of any misconceptions.

I suspect he may only be pulling the trigger though. The work to determine I'm a manipulator may be a result of shenanigans from a nutzi that has gotten close to him. I have one in mind in particular - though as I can't prove it I won't name names. He's not overly idiotic but he's still a Jew hater.

These bans on Kattie and I are some hardcore bullshit.

Just looking at this situation banning me from Voat is one of the dumber things Putt could do. Not only does he lose one of his top submitters but the content of a number of my comrades. Perhaps even more importantly I have unlimited amounts of time. That means I can devote a lot of it to trying to peel away his userbase if I want to.

And that he seems in no hurry to lift my ban is just pissing me off more. Though the guy seems so aloof that he may not even care. Regardless, Voat will suffer consequences unless I return. Call it the end of the McCarthy era.
