Hey all, firstly i just want to recommend that everyone go and check out their profile settings.

On mobile this will be accessed by pressing the button on the top right that looks like an equals sign, and then the gear. You can also switch to nightmode from that area, view your mail, and your profile.

Once in your settings, there are a few boxes you can decide to check or not (i recommend enabling NSFW content and disabling custom sub styles and infinite scrolling, but thats just me)

A key thing to note is that to save these settings you need to scroll down to the bottom, there is an "EDIT USER" button with a password box directly above it, enter your pass and click edit to save your changes.

It worked for me and I'm back out of the negatives.

It has ramifications.

If it limits people, the community can force people into silence. If it doesn't limit people, idiots can keep going and you'll probably want to be a more hands-on admin than we see in other communities.

I suspect the way you're approaching this makes the latter more attractive.

We can see that there are people here who DV based on perceived slights and not merits - and I'd absolutely expect that you'll see more of that behavior. If you're willing to remain hands-on, the not limiting probably makes more sense and is seemingly more consistent with your message.

That makes the most sense, given that you plan on remaining active and not just letting the site go to hell and run itself.

I seem to have pushed a key combination that brought up page info in firefox.

It worked out okay - check your meta keywords when you get a minute.

Personally im torn on that. It wasnt my intent to silence them with the downvoting, just display dissatisfaction.

But the DV restrictions on voat DID work for their purpose very well IMO
