No. 1933 when Hitler was elected to 1939 when the invasion of Poland started WWII. She says that during the pre-war period Germany was on top of the world. Employment soared,people were proud of the country and everything was running great. When the war started rationing was implemented ,the Gestapo and the poobahs got a little high- handed and things started to turn for the worse.
