Sounds reasonable.
Laws for thee, not for me.
We have a two tiered legal system.
The good news is that they must be running out of pawns if they are willing to go so far out of their way to save this useless fool.
Obviously you shouldn't and obviously he should be charged.
I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore.
>All around the world, in a single moment, the people who have been pushed to their limit wake up
>"I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE" each of them screams to the street
>only to find they are the lone, insane malcontent on an otherwise peaceful neighborhood.
The charge for using the US Postal Service to delivery threatening mail (to himself) is still active. It sucks he's let off for the other stuff, but that threatening letter charge is probably a worse charge and I don't think he'll be nearly as lucky with a federal prosecutor...it might even by part of the justification for dropping them...now they can just focus on the worst of the charges.
I was just wondering about this. Not only did hr commit mail fraud, but he included a white power in it to mimic an anthrax scare. That should make it worse, no?
My understanding is that adding that powder escalates the charge and I'm pretty sure people have gone to jail for doing it. The feds get pissed when you fuck with the post office.
One would hope this doesn't also get swept under the rug.
Doesn't sound fucked up at all.
The Chicago PD should be asking the Prosecutor's Office for the money to pay for all of the overtime. They're the ones who let him skate on the charges.
