Moreso my opinion than anything else. Particularly considering that, by my wording, most previous cultures don't fit that category as killing unborn children usually meant killing the mother as well.
I don't see how it can be advantageous for humans to deny their basic instrinct to protect their young in favor of convenience. How often does taking the easy way out lead to the best outcome? In my experience, the harder things to overcome are the things that build the most character. Men with character lead to good nations.
It's not advantageous for humans to kill their own young. And any human that does so is not my kind of human. Therefore, it's better to let them kill their young so there's less of their kind.
Hard to be mad at that. So you'd like an approach like when it comes to abortion, it sounds.
