Moreso my opinion than anything else. Particularly considering that, by my wording, most previous cultures don't fit that category as killing unborn children usually meant killing the mother as well. I don't see how it can be advantageous for humans to deny their basic instrinct to protect their young in favor of convenience. How often does taking the easy way out lead to the best outcome? In my experience, the harder things to overcome are the things that build the most character. Men with character lead to good nations.
