If it's a human you pragmatically shouldn't allow the killing of it without its permission. Else what's to stop someone (the govt) from deeming you unworthy of life later down the road?
I would rather there be more intelligent humans in my country than stupid ones. >without its permission: again, I'm not going to try to morally justify it. It's obviously wrong, but it benefits society by culling certain populations.
To your second point: I don't see much merit to this argument. How would stopping legal abortions make the government less likely to decide to take my life? In fact, in might do the opposite as less abortions would speed the growth of populations which would justify harming me (thinking of a society with more blacks).
My point is that a culture which allows for the killing of unborn children seldom lasts long.
The US is an interesting conundrum because of all the "diversity" forced into it; however, I still don't think allowing for infanticide is good for a society.
