Democracy seems inherently flawed. Just everybody choosing who will have dictatorial power over them? A power that can, always, inevitably and eventually be used to secure that the power isn't even choosable by the people? Seems like in the worst case the people would have to have by force the ability to fully over see the elections. Also the concept of putting so few people with so much power in one place to be subverted with controlable terminal illnesses or assassinations is a broken concept. At this point in the history of humanity, any system designed that can easily put the power over the people in a place where the elected can be controlled won't work.
