Are you guys buying this? It sounds reasonable but doesn’t explain the strange behavior or taking over a week to post this. I’m not sure what to think.

I could believe he was salty and didn't give half a crap about voat due to burnout after enjoying quiet time, feeling resentful about having to deal with it again.

What I can't believe is anyone accepting things are OK now just because of this explanation. The truth of the matter is now out and solutions should be made. I can't imagine things just going back to how they have been. The next time Putt might not come back at all.

Frankly, I'm happy here. The admin is actively trying, very visible and open. It has every potential voat ever had. I already nuked my voat account.

It is absolutely inexcusable to be the sole caretaker and disconnect for any amount of extended time. You take of the responsibility, you have to be there for it, or accept the consequences. And the consequences in this case is I'm not going back. And I suspect this is actually the beginning of the end, more people will slowly bleed off and go elsewhere where people give a crap about their websites.

If he has the thought process to think "im gonna not check in, or be available to be reached in anyway, for a week, and not leave someone else in charge for that time, and thats ok." Then he is at least partially retarded
