This site has lots of "free speech" scribbled all over the place, but what is to stop the:
downvote button is not an I disagree button.
Well I as the admin actively discourage it’s use as a I disagree button. However poal does have something voat doesnt. Check the warrant canary sub/link and you will see what I am talking about. I suppose I don’t have a hard or fast rule that stops people from using it that way but I would like to think if I’m active an encourage discussion rather than down voting it’ll at least somewhat influence the users behavior.

Well I suppose as I respect your opinion, do you have any suggestions? I had planned on making a rule regarding brigading. I haven't come up with a good wording for it yet but it is on my too do list. As far as user behavior goes I do care about free speech. I believe without it the west falls. So I would like to think I can encourage the user base to embrace it and encourage it even if it is speech you disagree with. I guess I'm still hoping the free market of ideas will save the world so to speak.

The interpretation is obviously broad - and I think it's been enforced in a reasonable manner so far. If all you want to do is blindly scream 'kill all niggers' you will probably run afoul of that rule. If you provide some interesting information that contributes to you having that opinion, you should be fine.
