Personally, I think he was stupid for thinking he could do it in front of the kids and not get in trouble.

If the puppy was retarded enough to euthanized, the manner of death is a secondary consideration in my eyes.

If I read it right, it took place after class. He may have thought the witnesses could handle it.

It does seem like a an odd road to go down though.

Interesting. Schools, both public and private, are increasingly infested with all sorts of sexual predators using their role and authority as teachers and school administrators to groom children for later molestation and it's a story about some dim bulb science teacher who fed a sick puppy to a snapping turtle that gets attention. Idaho's screwed if they don't get their priorities straight. Shoot animal rights advocates, humane treatment for humans only.

Seriously though, the guy should've made sure the room was empty and the doors locked before he fed a sickly puppy to a snapping turtle. Putting down the snapping turtle was a bit excessive though.
