That shit right there is why I switched out of a CS degree in college. I caught wind of that shit and booked it.

That and half of my code was "It should work perfectly, but it doesn't work at all, and I don't know why" and the other half was "It shouldn't work at all, but it works perfectly, and I have no idea why".

I have a feeling it is coming. Even websites that have actively shilled for M$ in the past are writing hit pieces and articles like "the top 100 things to fix Windows 10 so it is usable."....I can't wait to see the next version of the best windows yet, that will be the deciding factor, do they double down or reverse course. There has been talk about how they will move 10 to pure S.A.S and drop windows versions all together so it will be a rolling release clusterfuck forever. popcorn

Microsoft is a hard habit to break. Even when some of our customers get burned by a bad update, they choose to stay with Windows. To those that comprehend tech to some extent, I explain that it's 30 year old code with more code pasted on top to make it look new and shiny. On the other hand, Windows being prone to random bugs causing annoying issues keeps us in the computer service business.
