I'm been watching these little shows about trans kids and some about trans adults. The ones about adults do often talk about them being abused as a child and then regret for their transition. I just find it surprising that the shows that I have seen so far about kids being trans don't talk about possible abuse. I would think that the parents would question that and if not at least the person interviewing the family. I also find it surprising that it seems none of these families tried therapy before just letting their kids live out life as the opposite gender and excepting completely that they were a different gender. The things I've seen from the medical community show that most kids grow out of it and if they don't most of those kids are helped with therapy, so why not try that? So far with these shows I've never seen any interviewer ask if they sent their child to a therapist.

I would think that the parents would question that

They weren't told to think about it, so most don't. The vast majority of people are sheep.
