Management exists to perpetuate the business of management.

The executive mantra is threefold: We exist for our customers, our shareholders and our employees.

False: Management exists to keep management (managers), employed and insulated from customers, shareholders and employees. I.e., management is a myth.

If the coming housing crash triggers a economic downturn we shall see management circle the wagons to protect themselves first. They will cut full-time hours (already happening where I work), cut back on services, and reduce operating costs and hours of operation. COVID has provided a lot of the cover needed in this regard.

What business should do is cut 50% of management today and never look back. Over 50% of worthless. Send half home with pay for 90 days and see if the company collapses during their absence. It won't. The employees will probably produce more. Then after 90 days, send those managers a letter saying "fuck off", we don't need you anymore.

They should but they won't. It's called "sword and shield". Layers of lower management exist to protect upper management from being hurt from outside the click. Lower level managers are the sword and shield for the next higher level. And up and up to the owner. They are useful insulating idiots.

If you're a business owner reading this, fire your managers first if you dare. They are killing your business. Most are retarded. I know, I was one of the tards for 20 years. I was paid a fortune for basically nothing that I couldn't have done as a hourly supervisor.

Organizations promote people to their level of incompetence, but usually fail to demote them back to competence after they reach their highest level of promotion This is a failure of proper management that is a sign of incompetence in the manager who is in charge of promotion and demotion.

Yes. Peter principle. You can see it everywhere.

Employees will be much more productive when 30% of their time is not spent generating pointless reports for managers.

As a business owner, I am the manager

Yeah I noticed that a good while back. You cant be honest about any of that though. Managers dont even want to hear that managers, employees, and companies exist to make money. Much less that pleasing a customer is always secondary to that outside of a small few privately owned places. Heck if you genuinely tried the managment stance of the customer is most important person in the store you would be soon fired.

Ive never cared for the corporate greed, games or lies. Its all bullshit and its all bad for you.
