Possibly he doesn't know anything that can't be squelched by the state's media monopoly, and thus they're not afraid. Or maybe they're all in cahoots and all the drama is just for show to amuse and pacify the uppity whites who would otherwise be calling for blood. I don't know, and I can't say I have any interest in playing the mind-reading/armchair-quarterbacking game anymore.
