No you can't control your heart beat, or you don't have the correct idea of what control actually is
You cannot stop your heart beat at will with "a little training"
You cannot control your heart after a punch to the liver, that's the whole point of the punch to the liver btw; derail the entire cardio vascular system
At best, with a "little training" you can influence your beat rate through controlled breathing, and control of your emotions
But there's a huge gap, between influencing, and controlling
One bullet to the heart will stop it from beating. That can be self inflicted, so the heart beat can be stopped at will.
