"Animal feeding studies are the basis for evaluating the safety of GMO crops." Animal experimentation is only one avenue, and certainly no substitute for longterm human studies, of which there appear to be not one. As for all the animal studies done, each use ambiguous words to describe the findings. "Results…do not ** suggest** any health hazards and, in general, there were no statistically significant differences within parameters observed.”

"Although there have been more than 2,000 studies documenting that biotechnology does not pose an unusual threat to human health". The operative words here are to be noted, along with just what these studies document, and even more importantly, what they do not.

The same sort of BSing and doubletalk was used by the so-called scientists employed by the tobacco companies to 'prove' nicotine was not addictive, and tobacco smoke was harmless. The same sort of BSing is now used by anti-smoking 'scientists' to 'prove' tobacco smoke is so deadly one cannot even smoke in ones own apartment, least a minuscule bit seep through a crack in the wall and 'poison' the neighbor. Just as lawyers have 'legalese, scientists have their doubletalk, and both glibly apply it to the detriment of the populace.

"But if Séralini’s data were real and 80% of food was poison, animals and people would be dropping like flies." This is ludicrous in describing a slow-acting accumulative poison effect. Firstly, the differences in livestock and humans are many, both in digestion, nutritional needs and lifespan. Cows can eat lupines, nighthade, the death camas, etc., that kills a human. A carcinogen that requires thirty years to mainfest will not show any ill effect in a pig or cow or sheep for obvious reason. Secondly, the above statement assumes that a lamb that was fed on GMOed feed will pass on any ill effect to a man eating it. Where are the 20-year studies showing that a hundred children, eating GMOed vegetables, fruits, corn oil, etc., grow up to exhibit no symptoms of attributable disease? GMO tech began in the 1970s. There has been plenty of time for a slew of longterm double-blind studies to document the direct use of GMOed food by human subjects. Where are they? When the first GMOed food (FlavrSavr tomatoes in 1992) was approved by the USDA for release, where was the study proving its safety? Where is even one? Could it be that GMOed foods are not labeled in most countries, not because people would refuse to buy it as is so often suggested, but because a traceable path of cause and effect could then be established?

"No study has revealed any differences in the nutritional profile of animal products derived from GE-fed animals." And how about animals that have been GMOed? Where is all the research and studies proving they are safe to eat. Seems like these researchers are only interested in proving that it's safe to eat something that ate GMOed feed, and not that it is actually safe to eat that which has been GMOed. I wonder why? Could it be because they already know the answer before they ask the question, and it is therefore safe to ask:

Because DNA and protein are normal components of the diet that are digested, there are no detectable or reliably quantifiable traces of GE components in milk, meat, and eggs following consumption of GE feed. Proving that any harmful component is not tranferred secondhand, is not proving any harmful component is harmless when directly accessed. I'll reword the last sentence of the article you linked to:

In order to maintain the position that GMOs are adequately tested, or that they are not harmful or risky, you have to either highly selectively cherry pick just what topic or slant of scientific research one is willing to investigate, or else manipulate the experiment to harvest the desired result.

Most soy go to animal feed. You are all consuming soy fattened meat.

Soy turns you into a colossal faggot. It is also highly estrogenic and has adverse effects to the human body. The biggest giveaway of its damage is how hard nations work to make us eat that shit.

My husband just took an allergy test a few months ago and confirmed his suspicion that he has a severe soy allergy. It is so bad that it has caused him to be allergic to other things he wasn't to previously such as wheat, potatoes, and all other legumes. Doc says if he cuts soy other allergies may disappear. It's in EVERYTHING, though. I wonder how many of us are allergic to it without knowing.

I'm sure you're consuming your own fair share of soy. It's in any condiment even at your local mom and pop shop. Troll all you want, at least we had a beautiful blonde hair blue eyed white male baby. Number 2 is on the way.

Soy is the main ingredient we are trying to cut out but you are exactly right...lately I have noticed soy creep into pretzels, peanut butter (SECOND ingredient, name brand), minced garlic. Next is probably palm oil and canola...these fucking oils aren't fit for human consumption. We just had our second boy (third kid, fifth pregnancy)...but it is not a contest ;)
