Anyone else?

It's a new one for me. As I walked in I was just behind a guy with a high vis jacket and wondered if he had something on him that had triggered the sensors but then an assistant came waddling over waving a mask at me "Do you need a mask?"

I've seen prototypes for the tech online but that involved an ipad and screening up close. I checked on the way out and there was a normal looking CCTV camera that must be attached to the mask detection software.

Possible...they didnt have the usual security guard at the door so maybe there was someone in the back who buzzes for the mask girl but like I said I've seen videos of the tech in use. These sheep muzzles are too much man. People look at me quite often like I have 2 heads because I'm not masked. It must be well over 95% who go masked

This tech is definitely gonna get a wide roll out. I guess I thought it would be slower. Are you claiming a guard would be cheaper than an automated system? Not sure I agree. As the automated system expands you can just have doors that won't open to a mask-less customer and software doesn't require pension or medical

This is just a DLC at most for the software they already definitely are running at large stores. If they have an alarm and shit all rigged up like that, they paid for the software.

And of course you could have the doors open for the maskless once they have scanned the qr code for their covid pass. Writing that really brought home covid as the Certificate Of Vaccination ID

Know what? You can get custom-print masks made. I know because a friend of mine sells them on Amazon and they're his own design. So here's my proposal--- We get masks printed with a big sphincter butt-hole, or other gross things. "Sir, would you please not wear a mask in the store" is going to be a refreshing thing to hear!

Sorry I can't see that working. Maybe in 'Murica but in the UK it would be considered obscene and definitely a crme against public decency. I just don't wear a mask and if challenged I have an exemption. I'm not required to explain what my exemption is yet If you say its medical that shuts them up but then telling stupid untruths is also part of communistic demoralization so I try and just say exemption and leave it at that. If I thought the law was any use in this country I would stand up for my right to claim a political belief exemption and take it to court if challenged but this country is so zogged i would almost certainly lose

It's really really important to raise your voice and yell "I have a medical condition. I can't wear a mask" and make sure as many customers around you hear it. I rarely ever go into big stores, but if I absolutely have to I do that, and the people behind me acquire medical conditions as well.

Ha. I recently tried that at Best Buy. The goon at the front door said “I understand, that’s why we have a face shield for you”. I said “I will not wear that”. She said “sir sir.. “. I kept walking and said “call the police, I’m going to get what I came for”. That was the end of it. I went to check out and they pulled me out of the line and immediately checked me out. Win win. Fuck them. Call all their bluffs. Make them “trespass” you from the property.

Wouldn't be difficult to alter facial-recognition tech...since it cannot lock on with a mask, just set it to alarm whenever it detects a face.

Its an automatic infrared temperature camera. They use an infrared "heater" if you will as a baseline and then calculations can be made from there to determine if you have a fever or not.

No, that’s not what it was. They have those at my work and to get them to properly register you have to stand in front of them and hold still for a couple seconds.

Wrong. I programmed them on a contract job. They measure you in less than .2 seconds.
