That's a generalization that isn't true in many many cases. It really is a case of "don't blame the weed, man!"...pot doesn't make you complacent; complacent people smoke pot because it makes it easier to not feel guilty about it
Also as a side note, there are some diseases out there (COPD, CHF, Cancer) where the pain is so atrocious that weed does help even if at the expense of the disease. Not saying it is right, but it definitely has its uses in non smokable and more dosed forms. Think of the guy whose in pain just breathing. Now i would say these people are a fucking rarity compared to the low life niggers that smoke it for fun and waste their lives away
