Kiwifruit used to be called 'Chinese gooseberries' which is ironic because eventually NZ will be called China.

HAHA, yep, then the marketing board tried to go with 'zespri', fcking zespri's - from zest/ zesty and fcking Berry shortened to ri, fcking advertisers man .. Kiwifruit for life, lol.
