poweroutages.us is showing massive power outages spreading from the northwest, white house has emergency declared in over 12 states/locations in the usa, and ready.gov telling people to stock up and prepare for outages. I'm in the PNW and experiencing massive internet slowdowns, most pages timing out and taking many attempts to load.

I believe OP's post is based completely on semantics, you try to equivocate and steer citing technicalities, then further here with semantics. I don't think you have quite the grasp of language that you think, or of reality.
