As a christian you very well should read the OT. You should read it with understanding though. It is the christians warning and education about the jews. Most "christians" miss the whole point, but not all. To sum it up in one scripture, go to Isaiah 2:6. Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, (meaning that the children of Jacob had mixed with a different tribe of people from the east), and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and THEY PLEASE THEMSELVES IN THE CHILDREN OF STRANGERS! The Talmud is considered the jews' most holiest books and takes precedence over the Torah. I have heard that there is a sect of jews who only go by the torah and that they are outcasted by mainstream jews. Either way, all jews reject Christ.
