i agree with everything except the part about ssri drugs. a lot of people have been helped by ssri drugs. clinical depression, ptsd, ocd, anxiety, stress, etc. cause real suffering. ssri can relieve suffering.
Nearly every "mass shooter" you hear about was on SSRI's. Fix your shit instead of popping pills.
c'mon, you know that's an outrageously untrue claim. ssri drugs don't cause mass shootings.
basically, some people have a deficiency in serotonin and other neurotransmitters. and an ssri drug is the only way to increase them.
i'm not claiming that ssri drugs are 100% perfect. but they have helped millions of people, including me. if you suffered from clinical depression, ptsd, ocd, etc., you would have a different opinion of ssri drugs.
c'mon, you know that's an outrageously untrue claim.
It appears we have a fundamental disagreement.
Shits fucked. Vices aplenty. None are good.
clinical depression, ptsd, ocd, anxiety, stress, etc.
And what do you think causes all this shit? They're prescribing you the solution to all the problems they created. Do you think humans were suffering ptsd, ocd, anxiety, etc for thousands upon thousands of years until someone invented some drug?
Humans aren't meant to live like bug people in cities, that's why this shit happens in the first place.
i have basic understanding of how ssri work. as i already typed, some people's brain doesn't make or keep enough serotonin. yeah, usa culture can be depressing. but clinical depression is worse than that. and most of time, the cause is only biological. the brain just doesn't make or keep enough serotonin. serious emotional trauma can cause ptsd and depression. but that's soldiers who have been in combat, victims of long term abuse, etc. some ssri treat ptsd.
before ssri were invented, millions of people suffered from clinical depression, ptsd, ocd, etc. there wasn't a very effective treatment. until about the 1950s, most americans were farmers. their lives were not easy!
i agree with your opinion about urban living. before the internet, urban areas were cultural and shopping centers. now, i don't see why people choose to live in densely populated urban areas. it seems unnatural.
