You can get land in rural America cheap and homestead it
It isn't really cheap anymore and they don't want anymore transplants.
It's extremely difficult to do if you have zero experience though.
Out of box thinking is buy something like an old rv and live out of it until you can afford land and begin moving towards that. It's a lonely life though unless you're lucky enough to find someone who also wants the same thing.i suppose it's easier to do that today than it used to be.
Did that, things get weird with realtors and banks if they find out you're going to try and live in an RV on your own land you're trying to buy..
Was told if I was going to do something like that I would need to buy the property right out, a bank isn't going to loan money on un-developed land. Especially if they catch wind you plan on living out of an RV on it.
They have seriously thwarted even the most simplest means of checking out from society.
Interesting. With no experience, I wouldn't want to start with undeveloped land anyway. You'd have to put in your own septic and well and electric. If the land is already set up for an RV hookup, I bet they have no problem though.
You live out of the rv in order to save the money to buy. No loans.
In the area I am looking, you can get small prefab homes or bigger fixer uppers for $100,00-$120,000 with well and septic on 3 acres.
20% down that's 20k - 30k you need to save. If you don't drink or smoke pot it's not impossible to save this.
Yes but I was referring to doing it without loans.
