have you seen the prices for rural living? It's as bad as some metro cities, places in my rural area go for 500,000 or more now, and 10 years ago, a housing unit could be had for less than half that.

My town is rural, but on the edge of a minor metro area. Nice homes here start at about $75k. Theres a major fixer upper down the road from me for under $20k. It sucks though, and needs to be gutted or burned down to make room for something new.
