I always hated, HATED sports, until I realized it's purpose. It's just sexual selection. The game itself is physical and arbitrary, but then an IQ test is a bunch of arbitrary questions. So arbitrary doesn't mean it doesn't have value. Those IQ test scores correlate well with intellectual capacity in general and sports performance correlates well with physical performance in general. The purpose is to sort males on a physical dominance hierarchy. Two guys slamming into each other on the football field is the same as chimps conducting war, or two bucks pushing each other around. You're focused on the game itself instead it's social implications. It's just nature.
