Not sure I see either scenario as likely or even possible. But from my experience on Voat at least, you couldn’t even define a problem the “wrong” way without getting just crushed in the comments as a fed or something. So I can’t even imagine someone ever saying “let’s do x” there and even getting a neutral or positive response. But who knows. I haven’t been here long but the intellectual range here seems a lot narrower then Voat. There were hoards of ppl there far dumber then anything I’ve seen here so far, but there also seemed like a fair amount of much sharper types there as well. The kind that barely ever posted, but posted like serious journalists dumping investigation info sometimes. Either way, from what I’ve seen on either site, if some future patsy or real asshole ever proves to have been from here, I’ve never seen anything yet that could convince me they planned or were enspired by these sites. That’s what Facebook and Twitter are for.
