I play games from time to time. I also have a farm, and have been providing food not only my own growing family, but other people who don't farm. If I can find an hour of downtime to myself and I feel like playing a game I will.
Just because you and your friends can't moderate yourselves to only play an appropriate amount doesn't mean I'm a failure in that regard as well.
