Whoever forced the shutdown knew what was going to take place on the 6th. And they knew what would take place afterwards with the social media bannings and silencings.

They are afraid of us.

Voat was too aggressive and more likely to spawn coordinated... moves. If there was a reason, I think this might be at least one of them.

Voat was not likely to spawn coordinated efforts, for the very fact that it was so aggressive. I can’t speak for the Q subs there because you get brain aids and die if you go anywhere near that shit, but In over 3 years I heard 1 post that suggested a way to try to limit the power structure and it didn’t include a shred of violence to anyone or weapons of any kind, or even hacking. And not 1 person even jumped in and agreed with, or discussed it with them. This place is far more coordinated and like minded then Voat was. There was just far more energy on Voat.

I was thinking more like they would be among the first to say to each other something like "Lets go do X" with out too much planning. Those are the dangerous type because you can't predict and they don't even try to predict. A place like this could prodoce something similar but with much more planning and coordination.

They would all be arrested before anything happens of course.

Not sure I see either scenario as likely or even possible. But from my experience on Voat at least, you couldn’t even define a problem the “wrong” way without getting just crushed in the comments as a fed or something. So I can’t even imagine someone ever saying “let’s do x” there and even getting a neutral or positive response. But who knows.
I haven’t been here long but the intellectual range here seems a lot narrower then Voat. There were hoards of ppl there far dumber then anything I’ve seen here so far, but there also seemed like a fair amount of much sharper types there as well. The kind that barely ever posted, but posted like serious journalists dumping investigation info sometimes. Either way, from what I’ve seen on either site, if some future patsy or real asshole ever proves to have been from here, I’ve never seen anything yet that could convince me they planned or were enspired by these sites. That’s what Facebook and Twitter are for.
