That's a terrible analogy. Are they going to eat us? Are the cows repairing my milking equipment? I certainly wouldn't be spending money on gay cow parades and goading them into fighting each other. Stressed cows don't produce milk and have shitty meat.
By "society" I wasn't referring only to the populace, but they way society is set up and run. You don't need dumb truck drivers when you have self driving vehicles. Yes this is the direction they are pushing things but there is a lot of areas that could and can currently be automated but they aren't.
But if the part of society that is the populace were smarter they could build, repair and run complex machines.
This problem you two speak of is not necessarily a matter of intelligence. More like: ignorance, selfishness and greed. Or in one word: idolotry (or in another if you prefer: "belief").
That we "believe" anything is ignorance to what we need (therefore belief is unnecessary & serve only to stagnate our minds from fulfilling our potential, which is otherwise instinctual), the act of "believing" a third-party is a selfish act of relinqushed authority for temporary comforts (ie- paying taxes to feel good about muh roads or that this somehow keeps you safe from the state), and that we "want" is of course greed which fuels a never ending cycle of want driven (typically addictive) behavior; again at the expense of our needs, our health and ultimately the saftey of our community - and evidently the entire world.
Indeed, the net result of a population of selfish idol worshippers - money as the primary unit of idolotry, but applies also to belief in government, 'science', or any system or person of 'authority' who we falsely 'authorize' as having authority over us - is a great aggregation of authority ('power', 'wealth'); an incredible imbalance in our ecosystem; or what we call modern (((civilization))).
I do not claim to believe anything will happen one way or another but obviously these elites you speak of have leverage to now get what they 'want' - again, all based on this mass cultivation of corrupt thinking patterns which encourage ignorance of our individual authority & natural potential.
So if they are farming, it is certainly this: our predictable pattern of selfish, greedy ignorance & idolization. Like cows going into the shute everyday.
Until the cows wake up it seems and see the situation for what it is, the farmers have no reason to stop farming. And why would they.
