Yeah half of the reason the US is so fucked right now is because they pushed everyone into college which just in turn further brainwashed people to believe only what authority figures told them and to further reinforce that learning is a chore. Learning is, and should always be considered something you do for yourself to just be better than you were the day before and to always keep striving towards self improvement.
Furthermore, another problem is trade school isn't diversified at all. I'm NOT talking about ethnic diversity, I'm referring to diversity of choice. Plumber, electrician, mechanic, pick one.
How about something else? HVAC? Construction? Hemodialysis Technician? Medical Assistant? LPN? Home inspector? Dental Hygenist? Barber? Construction Equipment Operator? Pipe fitter? Locksmith? Painter? Welder?
All of these trades, and the only ones high school kids know about is Plumber, Electrician, or Mechanic. I would've been SO much further into my career now if I knew I could go to trade school to learn how to be an LPN or a Medical Assistant, but instead I wasted my money on college and got even more blackpilled about "making it". And I'm not the exception to the rule, most of us have similar stories of how High School FAILED us as Americans.
