The problem is that glass bottles are not easily available, at least in my country. They're usually much smaller, pricier and use salty over-mineralized water.

I think he's saying to distill or filter the water yourself and then put it in bottles. I'm pretty sure you can get glass bottles.

Oh sure, we do that all the time here. Filter, store in a glass jar and then boil when needed.
