I think they ("deep state" or whatever) wanted to disrupt the congressional session where they were making objections to the electoral college vote. A whole series of legislators listing the various evidence of fraud on CSPAN could have finally broken through the media censorship preventing any serious discussion and demonstrate it's not just Trump being crazy. But no, instead we get endless pictures of the MAGA viking and the sheeple are being told some tourists wandering around taking pictures for an hour was actually an attempt to violently overthrow the entire US government.
