I think they ("deep state" or whatever) wanted to disrupt the congressional session where they were making objections to the electoral college vote. A whole series of legislators listing the various evidence of fraud on CSPAN could have finally broken through the media censorship preventing any serious discussion and demonstrate it's not just Trump being crazy.

I noticed a strange thing at the capitol event too. I noticed a woman being executed by a guy hiding behind a door and then I saw uniformed security of some sort just completely ignore her dying at their feet.
