regardless of whether there's a law that requires the average working American to pay taxes (and there isn't according to many former IRS employees and researchers), not paying federal income tax is a simple, non-violent and potentially effective strategy to bring the system to its knees, however it obviously isn't risk free
than again, neither is freedom
The system won’t fall to its knees because you didn’t pay your taxes. Even if ten million people chose not to pay their taxes the government would cover any shortfall with borrowing. Then they’d hire more irs agents to go after you to freeze your assets, garnish your wages, and put a lien on any property you own until you paid them plus all the fines and interest that would accrue while they waited.
The irs does not fuck around. Anyone who thinks they can affect policy by withholding taxes is a fool.
How about witholding because... . its my money and ill keep it now. Hahahahahehehewhoa. How you doing?
the idea of tax protest depends entirely on enough people subscribing - of course the system won't implode if only a few stop paying, that's obvious
and no, the government can't keep borrowing - to believe that is to ignore every economic collapse in history
Of course the government can keep borrowing, it’s nowhere near to running out of credit, just look at the interest rates they get when they do a new auction for trasury bills.
What happens on year two when they just start taking it directly from paychecks and fine me heavily?
