Just like we can look at the track record of socialism to the point where it has been mercilessly meme'd to death about , I feel like we can look at places where Accelerationism has been tried as a political strategy. In most places I can think of, unless people fight back, it just keeps getting worse. Did North Korea not accelerate hard enough to make things worse? Did Rhodesia/Zimbabwe not accelerate enough? Maybe Venezuela has to hyperinflate and starve a bit more before the Accelerationist strategy kicks in and socialism is expelled from the country.

Perhaps the reason is because so many people look to the Fall of the Berlin Wall as proof of the success of the merits of Accelerationism. For one, is it really? Wouldn't Russia today be a million times more affluent, powerful, and successful had they fought against communism? We'd still have as much, if not more, historical arguments against Socialism. Secondly, it's not apparent that Accelerationism was what caused the Soviet Union's collapse. There was a long, arduous, slow, intrapolitical and international battle that slowly raised the Soviet Union from the depth of the terrors of Stalin's gulags to even get to a point where they could admit that something as big as Chernobyl happened to the international community, and then finally could allow Perestroika to happen. To argue that Perestroika happened just because "The Soviet Union had no other choice, see, Accelerationism works" is something I find incredibly difficult to believe, especially given the continuing, modern examples (North Korea, mainly) that fly in the face of this. And least of all, it flies in the face of those in the former Soviet Union and around the world that did try to make it a freer place to live.

Theoretically speaking, although it is rather simplistic, I think the key reason that Accelerationism does not and will not work is the . The government has every incentive to, and follows up to, make it incredibly hard to decrease its size and scope. In short, .

In this regard, the size and scope of tyranny is similar in a lot of respects to entropy, and from what I can understand, this is where a lot of Accelerationists are emotionally coming from. If the heat bath/totalitarianism is inevitable, then let's just get it over with. Now, I don't quite agree with that, because for one there has been many moments where the fires of totalitarianism and tyranny have been beaten back by the sweat of society's brow. The American Revolution, Peel's fight against the Corn Laws, and the Fall of the Berlin Wall as I argued above. But also, Have you forgotten how to have, hold, and carry hope in your hearts? That's the answer to nihilism, not giving in even more to the depths of despair.

I've seen to the current hopelessness is some line of "You're a sucker". Where is your will to fight at all? Where is your hope? Where the is your soul? I don't know, maybe my parents raised me poorly to be honest, when in fact I'm a sucker. Right? Only a sucker gives--right? There's two ways to look at that: What a noble thing to do. Or, what a sucker. And I think when you transition to a world where you are a sucker for being honest and failing to exploit opportunities like that, you are on the road to hell. Whether it is socialism or capitalism. But I do think this is more prevalent in socialism, which is all the more reason to fight against it in every moral domain possible. Certain systems enhance a moral compass, and some destroy it. I think in the Soviet Union you were a sucker if you played by the rules, because no one did. But we haven't gotten to that point yet. I don't want to suggest it's easy to fix this: we just need to change norms and culture. But I don't think you can talk about this descent into cronyism that we are rightfully accusing the globalist system of and suggesting it's going to get worse, and ignore the cultural and educational possibilities to fight against it.

I know it's simplistic, but shouldn't we keep fighting to always reduce government budgets as much as we can? It would be best for the public weal if all that the bureaucrats infesting the Federal Reserve, the SEC, etc. ever did in their working lives was to play tiddlywinks and watch color TV. We don't need to give them more power over our lives just because of hopelessness induced urges to Accelerationism. Just have a little bit of hope, goddamit.

Tl;dr, fuck Accelerationists. Fite me irl.

Interesting that you mention Evangelion's creator. Why did he say that, and what was wrong about Evangelion? I don't watch anime like you wapanese do.
