One possibility is that Lin Wood & Sidney Powell were maneuvered into place and fed false information in order to make Trump look incredibly bad and discredit his claims of election fraud. So are they useful idiots, or in on the plan to discredit Trump.

The 3rd option is that when it comes to politics, when the going gets rough only the mavericks will come out to play. And they bring with them their own brand of crazy baggage.
